How to Fix Your Credit in 30 Days

There is no such thing as a quick and easy fix when it comes to credit. However, it would still be better to work on your credit score as soon as you can. The building or rebuilding a stellar credit score can take a few months or even years, particularly if you have recently made serious mistakes.

The good news is that you can now boost or fix your credit score in 30 days or so with the following tips:

Have Your Credit Card Balances Paid Off

While it is not possible to erase missed payments, your credit to debt ratio, which is the second main influencer on credit scores, can be quickly improved. This is especially the case if you have several credit card debts.

Creditors report outstanding balances every month to credit bureaus. This means you will net some points if you pay off your debt or most of them prior to the statement closing date. Just ensure that the bill is not run right back up or everything will be useless.

Try keeping your credit card balances lower than 30% of your overall credit limits Of course, it would be better if it is lower than this.

Be an Authorized User

If there is a family member with a positive history in their credit cards, you might want to ask them to include you as an authorized user to their account. After this is reported to credit bureaus, the account’s entire history is going to be included in your credit reports that will then help in making your score better.

Check and Dispute Credit Report Errors

Credit bureaus legally have 30 up to 45 days to resolve and investigate disputes in their credit report. This means that if your score is won because of a legitimate error, you will be able to regain some points during this timeframe. You can pull your credit reports and check them for errors.

You are entitled to individual reports from the major credit bureaus every 12 months. Credit mis-stepers must also check for any erroneous dings. According to the Federal Trade Commission, there is one out of five person who has errors on their credit reports.

If there is an error in several of your reports, you need to file a different dispute with each of the credit bureaus. These bureaus never discuss this sort of stuff among themselves.

Stay on the Right Track

Any new negative information can lead to more damages. Remember that your credit score will be better if you stick to good behaviors and habits over time. See to it that you make on-time payments all the time. You can consider setting up an auto payment to ensure that you don’t miss your due dates. Lower your debt levels as much as possible and new accounts should be added little by little over time. When you do so, you will be well on your way to making your credit score better in just 30 days or so.

These all are the best tips that you can use to fix your credit score in just 30 days. Now after fixing your credit follow this article to know about the mistakes when you are going to rebuild your credit.
